I Feel Free Again

I have been really busy in last few months and couldn’t able to blog since than. I always came with weary legs and couldn’t do noting but going straightly to bed to recuperate for the next day at work. Because of the tight schedule at job, I lost contact with my family, relatives and friends until they get the feeling that I estrange them. It has been a difficult experience for me. Despite I consume all the energy, really exhausted and couldn’t even write an email or post a blog at the end of the day to explain what is happening to me, I always want to in stay in touch with you all. Since only a few days, it is obvious that the works I need to carry out are almost done. My duties are lighter and lighter than it used to be and it creates time for me to look back which were out of my sight and lack of taking care in those busy days. I got a few complains that I have a negative points because I hadn’t email, called to my distance social network. I swear that I don’t want to...

Malaysia Trip (6th Feb, 2008)

I think today is a nice time to post my Malaysia trip. I’m on the sick leave and have nothing to do at home. I went to Malaysia on 6 of Feb, It was an eve of Chinese New Year. I woke up at 8 in the morning and I just had a thought to pass the border and wondering around Jahor Baru, the border town on Malaysia side. As soon as I cleaned and tidy up myself, I grabbed my passport and rushed to the city train station which is only 7 minutes walk from my place. I rode the city train, MRT until Woodlands Regional Interchange Station which is only 5 minutes away from Yishun MRT station. There are only 2 MRT station in between Woodlands and Yishun which are Simbawang, Admiralty. I switched from the train to the bus at Woodlands Station to cross the border. The bus took me to entrance of the immigration portal on Singapore side and waited me at the back yard. It took only more or less 10 minutes to reach the portal. So I presented my passport and multi-entry visa for Malaysia and Singapore...

Fetching up a friend in Changi Airport

While I was waiting to meet with Desmond, a call just came in. It is form one of my close friends Soe Wai Linn. He said Aung Win Tun, A-Phoo-Gyi is his nick name, means the old man in Burmese, is arriving with this afternoon flight. So I questioned for more information about the old man’s flight schedule, the departure time, flight number, etc. However SWL can only estimate the flight time and he assured that is a direct flight from Yangon . So I surfed internet and checked the arrivals flight from Yangon . Airline Flight Number Arrival Time Terminal Belt SILK AIR MI511 14:03 T2 32 SING AIR SQ5011 14:03 T2 32 Jet Star 3K586 14:44 T1 16 MAI 8M6232 14:44 T1 16 As you can perceive, I came out the office round about 13:30 with...

Sick Leave

Today, I took my impromptu very fist sick leave in Singapore . I’ve been feeling unwell since last Friday. Good Friday wasn’t good enough for me. On that day I did fatigue physical exercise as soon as I had dinner with dinner with Ko Hla Tin. From that time forth, I had dirrara, dizziness, sneezing and a slight fever until Monday afternoon. Suffering all those kind of symptoms, I’m a little bit weak and I feel defenseless. Actually, I spent the whole morning at work. Preparing M&E drawing for Ko Thein Tun and correct the errors on the co-ordination plan which was made a few months ago. Lunch time, as usual, I went out with my Burmese colleagues, Ko Thein Tun and Ye Htoon and opened to them that I’m feeling unwell. Ko Thein Tun advised me to take sick leave under the permission of Desmond, the project manager. Just after I came back for the diner, I wait a few minutes to see Desmond to ask his permission. It needs to wait sometime to go into his room although I can see his desk f...

'Mingalar Bar'

'Mingalar Bar' is a traditional way of greeting in Burma. Burmese Medias translate 'auspiciousness to you all' although it has greater meaning. Yesterday, I greeted my friends from Google Talk by typing Myanmar Characters and I realized myself that I felt really happy of greeting my friends in Burmese. In recent years I have chated in English to everyone from every corners of the world. Yesterday’s experience taught me to love our heritage more than before.
