Living in Singapore: Neighborhood

အရင္လတုန္းက စင္ကာပူမွာ ေနေနတဲ့ အိမ္အေၾကာင္း ေရးျပခဲ့ဖူးတယ္။ အိမ္ကို အလည္ အပတ္မလာ ႏိုင္တဲ့ ႏိုင္ငံ ရပ္ျခားက သူငယ္ခ်င္း၊ မိတ္ေဆြြ၊ လုပ္ေဖၚကိုင္ဖက္ေတြ၊ ေဆြမိ်ဳးသာခ်င္း အကုန္လံုး ကြ်န္ေတာ့ အိမ္ကို အင္တာနက္ ေပၚကေန တဆင့္ လာေရာက္ လည္ပတ္ခြင့္ ရသြားၾကတယ္။ အခု တစ္ေခါက္ေတာ့ ကြ်န္ေတာ့ ရပ္ကြက္ထဲကို လွည့္ပတ္ၾကည့္ၾကတာေပါ့။

Last month, I posted about my home in Singapore. Friends, colleagues, relatives and family members could have an opportunity to visit my home via internet. This time, I'll let everyone to explore my neighborhood.



The jogging path and fusal field

အခု ပံုကေတာ့ ကြ်န္ေတာ္ ေနထိုင္တဲ့ တိုက္ရဲ့ ေဘးဘက္မွာရွိတဲ့ အားကစားကြင္းေလးရဲ့ပံု ပါပဲ။ ပံုထဲမွာ ျမင္ရတဲ့ လမ္းနီနီေလး ကေတာ့ ကြ်န္ေတာ့္တုိက္ကေန ထြက္လာတဲ့ ေလ်ာက္လမ္းေလးေပါ့။ ကြ်န္ေတာ္ အဲဒီကြင္းမွာ သြားျပီး အလုပ္က ေစာေစာ ျပန္ေရာက္တဲ့ ညေနေတြမွာ ေျပးေလ့ ရိွတယ္။ ကံဆိုးစြာပဲ ျပီးခဲ့တဲ့လကေနျပီး ကုမၼဏီက ကြ်န္ေတာ့ကို အျခားရံုး တစ္ခုကို ေ႔ရႊေျပာင္းတာ၀န္ခ် ထားတဲ့ အတြက္ အိမ္ျပန္ေရာက္တဲ့ အခ်ိန္ေနာက္ က်သြားျပီး ညေနပိုင္း ေျပးဖို႔ သိပ္ျပီး မလြယ္ေတာ့ဘူး။ အစိမ္းေရာင္ သံဇကာေတြနဲ႔ ရံထားတဲ့ကြင္း ေလး ကေတာ့ Fusal (ျမန္မာအေခၚ ဂိုးက်င္း) ကစားကြင္းေလးပါ။ သူမ်ားကစားတာကို ရပ္ၾကည့္ဖူးတာက လြဲလို႔ ကိုယ္တိုင္ မစား ဖူးပါဘူး။ ေဘာလံုးကန္မွ မေကာင္းပဲကိုး။

At the side of my block is a playground. The red lane in the right side of the photo is the pedestrian path routed from my apartment block. I used to jog on the running path when I came back home early from the job. Unfortunately, I have been transfered me to another site office and due to the travel from the office to home, I mostly reach home late. The one with wire mash is fusal (mini soccer) field. I just watch the match. I've never tried to join the team because I'm not a good soccer player.

ရပ္ကြက္ထဲက ကေလးေတြ ဂိုးက်င္းကြင္း ေဘးမွာ ဂိုးသြင္းက်င့္ေနတာကိုလည္း တစ္ခါတစ္ေလ ေတြ႔ရတတ္ပါတယ္။ ဒီဓါတ္ပံုရိုက္တဲ့ ေန႔က တႏၱဂေႏြေန႔ မနက္မို႔လို႔ေတြ႔ရတာပါ။

Sometimes, I found my neighboring kids practicing for goal kick next to the fusal field. It was a Sunday morning and it is why I found they were playing outside the fusal field.

ခုနေျပာခဲ့တဲ့ ေဘာလံုးကြင္းနဲ႔ ကပ္ရပ္က ေတာ့ အားကစားမ်ိဳးစံု လုပ္လို႔ရတဲ့ ကြင္းရိွေလရဲ့။ အဲဒီမွာ ကေလးေရာ၊ လူၾကီးေရာ ၾကံ့ခုိင္ သန္စြမ္းေရး အတြက္ ကိုယ္လက္လႈပ္ရွားမႈ လုပ္လို႔ရတယ္။ မကစားပဲ ကစားေနတဲ့သူေတြကို ထိုင္ခံုမွာ ထိုင္ျပီး ေငးေနတဲ့သူေတြလဲ ရွိေလရဲ့။

Adjacent to the fusal field and jogging track is an athletic plaza. From the young kids to the elderly persons can do physical exercise for body fitness and health living. However, some guys love to sit back, relax and enjoy the show.

It is really amusing of watching the kids running in the playground.

ဒီခ်စ္ဖို႔ေကာင္းတဲ့ ကစားကြင္းေလးကို ကြ်န္ေတာ္ေနတဲ့ တိုက္အပါ အ၀င္ လွပတဲ့ လူေနတိုက္ခန္းေတြနဲ႔ ကာရံ ထားပံုကေတာ့ ဓါတ္ပံုကိုၾကည့္မိသူတိုင္းကို ဆဲြေဆာင္မွာ အေသအခ်ာပဲေပါ့။

The lovable plaza surrounded by beautiful apartment blocks including mine is surely an attraction to everyone who look into this photo.

ဘစၥကက္ေဘာ ကစားကြင္းလည္း ရွိျပန္တယ္ေလ။ ေဘာလံုးထက္ ဘစၥကက္ေဘာကို ပိုျပီး ႏွစ္ႏွစ္ျခိဳက္ျခိဳက္ ကစားတာကို သတိထားမိတယ္။

There is a Basketball court in the plaza. I notice that people likely to play basket ball that soccer.



The Thi-Chi Workout

သိၾကတဲ့ အတုိင္းပဲ စင္ကာပူက တရုတ္လူမ်ိဳးေတြ အဓိကေနထိုင္ၾကတာ ဆိုေတာ့ တရုတ္ရိုးရာ အားကစားျဖစ္တဲ့ ထိုက္ခ်ိ ကစားေနတဲ့ အသက္ၾကီးပိုင္းေတြကိုလည္း အားကစားကြင္းေတြမွာ ေတြ႔ရေလ့ရွိတယ္။ ဒီဓါတ္ပံုရွိ ေနာက္ခံမွာ ေတြ႔ရတဲ့ ေလွခါးေလးနဲ႔ ကုန္းျမင့္ျမင့္ေလး ကေတာ့ ဘာဘီၾကဴး ကင္စားဖို႔ သပ္သပ္လုပ္ေပထားတဲ့ေနရာေလးေပါ့။

As you already know, the majority of the habitants are Chinese. Thus it is a norm to see elderly Chinese man having Thi-Chi exercise. The mound in the background of this photo is a special place; Barbecue corner.

ဒီေနရာမွာ ခင္မင္ရင္းႏွီးတဲ့ သေတြနဲ႔ အတူတူ ဘာဘီၾကဴးလုပ္စား ျဖစ္မယ္လို႔ ေမွ်ာ္လင့္ရတာပဲ။

I hope to have a barbecue party with the people I love.

ဘာဘီၾကဴးကင္တဲ့ ေနရာေလးကၾကည့္လိုက္ရင္ လွမ္းျမင္ရတဲ့ ျမင္ကြင္းေလးက တရုတ္ရိုးရာ ပန္းခ်ီထဲက ျမင္ကြင္းေလးလိုပါပဲ။ သစ္ပင္၊ ၀ါးရံု၊ အမိုးပါ လူေလ်ာက္လမ္း ေလးေတြက တရုတ္ရိုးရာ ဗိသုကာ ပညာရဲ့ အေငြ႔အသက္ကို ခံစားရေစတယ္။ အဲဒီ သစ္ပင္ေတြ ေနာက္ဘက္မွာ တစ္ပိုင္းတစ္စ ေတြ႔ရတဲ့ တိုက္ျပာျပာ ကေတာ့ ကြ်န္ေတာ ေနတဲ့ တိုက္ေပါ့။

The view from the Barbecue corner is pretty much look like the landscape in the traditional Chinese painting. The trees, the bamboos and the covered walkway award the sense of Chinese traditional architecture. The blue apartment you can see partially behind the trees is my apartment.

ဒီေနရာကေတာ့ ကြ်န္ေတာ္ ညစာစားေလ့ ရွိတဲ့ ၈၈၈ ပလာဇာ ရဲ့ လမ္းမၾကီး ဖက္က ၀င္ေပါက္ေပါ့။ သူက ဒီနားမွာေတာ့ အထင္ကရ ေနရာျဖစ္လို႔ ကိုယ့္အိမ္ကို လမ္းညႊန္မယ္ ဆိုရင္ အဲဒီ့ ေနရာ ကေနတဆင့္ လမ္းညြန္ရတယ္။

This is the maid entrance of 888 Plaza where I usually have the dinner. It's is easy to give direction to my place by using this building, an important landmark.




The Plaza is always crowded at night time

ညဖက္ေတြမွာ ေတာ့ ေတြ႔ရတဲ့ အတိုင္းပဲ ေဒသခံ တရုတ္လူမ်ိဳးေတြ နဲ႔ စားေသာက္ ဆိုင္ေတြက တစ္ခ်ိန္လံုး ျပည့္ႏွက္ ေနေလ့ ရွိတယ္။

Every nigith the restraurants are crowed with locals Chinese.

တစ္ခ်ိဳ႔ေန႔ေတြမွာ ေကာ္ဖီကို ဒီမွာ ေသာက္ျပီးမွ ရံုးသြားေလ့ ရွိတယ္ေလ။

Some mornings, I enjoy my first copy of the day before I go to work.
