On one Saturday of this month, I took an IQ test and got the score 145.
It was the lunch time and office personnel and site staffs were taking a nap as usual. I feel uncomfortable of sleeping in the office. So I surfed internet and read friends’ blog and then I found out that my friends blogger ‘BOYZ’ has an IQ of 135 and this information made me to try the online IQ test.
Most of the people have heard the particular work ‘IQ’ but they are really clueless what it is. One out of a hundred can’t tell you what the average score of a normal man is. Learning from Wikipedia found out that less than one percent of man has this kind of IQ score .Marilyn Vos Savant who appeared in the Guinness Book of World Records, obtained a ratio IQ of 228 which is 83 points higher than me.
The structure of an IQ test may have many forms. Some tests use a single type of item or question, while others use several different subtests. Most tests yield both an overall score and individual subtest scores.
A typical IQ test requires the test subject to solve a fair number of problems in a set time under supervision. Most IQ tests include items from various domains, such as short-term memory, verbal knowledge, spatial visualization, and perceptual speed. Some tests have a total time limit, others have a time limit for each group of problems, and there are a few untimed, unsupervised tests, typically geared to measuring high intelligence.
Modern IQ tests produce scores for different areas (e.g., language fluency, three-dimensional thinking), with the summary score calculated from subtest scores. The average score, according to the bell curve, is 100. Individual subtest scores tend to correlate with one another, even when seemingly disparate in content.
As for me I got this kind of IQ score because of my older studies. I got a very good education of Mathematics, Language Fluency and three-dimensional think. I noticed that I have a good sense to solve Arithmetic Sequence and Series and Digit span. I got very high score at matriculation exam. I gave some years of my time for learning English and French. I learned a lot of root words and smarter approach to learn language. It was a great help to answer the IQ test. Being an architect I have to very clever in three-dimensional thinking and similarities.
Although, I can stand the top one percent I don’t really feel that I’m so smart. I’m sure that I got this score because of my previous learning.
